Danka Panchova is home after 9 months in Somalia

Ladislav Tsvetkov, August 20, 2009

Danka Panchova, who was held captive for 9 months in Somalia and worked for the humanitarian organisation "Action against hunger" returned home in Sofia yesterday, after a short stay in Paris. At her arrival she said that she was happy to come home in Bulgaria after the worst 9 months in her life. She also hoped that she would be left in piece. Danka Panchova was greeted by the Bulgarian foreign minister Rumyana Zheleva who refused to say whether Bulgaria had taken part in paying the ransom for Danka for her freedom.
