A protest of the workers at the "Kremikovtsi" steel plant in Sofia

Adelina Marini, November 16, 2009

Some 100 workers from the "Kremikovtsi" steel plant protested today in Sofia against the government plans for closure of the plant. They insist the plant not to be closed. According to the protesters, although the plant does not have an ecological permission, the three production lines do not pollute the air. The workers also threatened that if they get a permission for a protest tomorrow, they will go to the "boss of all ministers", meaning the prime minister in front of the Council of Ministers in Sofia, the Bulgarian news agencies reported.
